Education

Elvezia Maria Paraboschi received her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Milan in 2012. During her Ph.D. training she investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying the predisposition to multiple sclerosis. As a post-doc she mainly focused on the analysis of the role of non-coding RNAs and alternative splicing dysregulation in human diseases. During this period, she also developed an expertise in molecular genetics and big data analysis, when she joined the lab of Prof. Kathiresan at MGH and Broad Institute in Boston, where she was interested in finding new genetic determinants involved in the predisposition to myocardial infarction.
